“When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives.”
No matter how much we can juggle into our daily lives, happiness is what matters. I’m living proof of this. And I know many women and men who can relate!
Here’s a little bit about Mindy.
While I wear many hats in my daily adventures, five hats jump to the front of things that make me happy. The first is Faith. I am baptized a Christian and confirmed a Lutheran. I grew up in this beautiful church and my ancestors helped build it years ago:
Since I’m the sixth generation of this church, it is very special to me. Family is very special to me and I got married to Farm Fit Daddy in the church in front of all my family and close friends. This was such a special day.
Since then, we’ve began Farming. At M. Young Farms, we raise corn, soybeans, brome hay, cattle, and meat goats.
After starting our family farm, we had our first daughter – Farm Fit Girl! She was born June 21, 2013 and is such a joy.
Since starting our family, I’ve stepped homemaking up quite a few notches. This includes making homecooked meals for my little family. Pinterest has been a God send! Here are some of Farm Fit Girl’s favorites pinned from Pinterest:
I love finding recipes and making them convenient and I can’t wait to share my convenient recipes with all of you! I also try to make them healthier! Which intertwines with Fitness: The fifth passion in my life that makes me whole.
I enjoy running and being fit and healthy on my own, but I also teach group exercise classes at a local fitness center. I’m a certified Les Mills instructor. I also enjoy making my own “tabata” workouts and I will be sharing them as often as possible.
My hope for this blog is to inspire and empower readers to reach their dreams, meet goals, live life to the fullest, and to find a balance to happiness.
“What do you juggle or balance in your daily life? What would you change to be a happier and whole person?”

I stumbled across your podcast and I absolutely love it!! I have an hour drive to work and an hour drive home everyday, so I have been listening and catching up on all your podcasts. They are absolutely perfect. I am a ranch wife and I’m also a hairdresser. But I raise a huge garden and have chickens and goats along with our cattle. I live in NE. So it’s awesome to have such a great podcast to listen to, that actually goes along with our lifestyle. I do have a question for you about cantaloupe and which kind you like and what brand you prefer? If you even like it.... I love it and I can’t seem to get it to mature enough for eating, before the end of the growing season.

Hi, Joni! I'm so glad you're loving the podcast! Thanks for letting me know. I'm so glad to know about you.
We love cantaloupe. It's really hard to grow in our clay soil but luckily, it grows well down in a bottom by our creek. We love Athena and Aphrodite varieties. I also love to grow plants from seed inside and then transplant. It needs to have full sun. How to know a cantaloupe is ready: The stem will be just turning brown and should easily pop off the stem when you gently pull.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have more questions.
