Baked Panko Crusted Chicken Bites

If you’re looking for a really easy meal for busy times, you’ve GOT to try these Panko Crusted Chicken Bites!

As a fellow Ruralite and a mom, I know full well how easy it is to want to just pick up dinner in town. However, this can get expensive and not really very good for you. And sometimes you just want to taste that fast food – It’s addictive!

My whole family loves these baked homemade chicken nuggets. Who needs fast food chicken nuggets when you can make your own? These are so amazingly easy and fun to make with the kids, too. Plus, you can make as many as you want and freeze them for later.

They are the perfect size for the kids. My little girls crave them on a regular basis. I also make them quite a bit because they are super simple to prepare.

These yummy Panko crusted chicken bites is the perfect healthier alternative. In this post, I’ll share:

  • One of our favorite chicken recipes we call Panko Crusted Chicken Bites.
  • Some different ways to enjoy these baked chicken nuggets-like treats.
  • Why these chicken bites are favorite kid-friendly chicken recipes in our household.

What do I eat with my Panko crusted chicken bites?

When paired with some garlic mashed potatoes from my garden (with the skin left on of course) and a yummy mixed lettuce salad with creamy Ranch dressing, this meal is a family favorite that tickles our taste buds!

Our favorite condiments with Panko crusted chicken bites are BBQ sauce or Mustard. Look over here to see my homemade jalapeno mustard recipe, which complements all of the kid-friendly chicken recipes very well, including these Panko crusted chicken bites.

Farm Fresh Ingredients:

Chicken: My family and I raise our own Cornish meat birds each year to harvest for chicken meat to make Panko crusted chicken bites and other chicken dishes. Check out the details for raising meat birds HERE. And also some harvesting trick and tips HERE.

For convenience, I always like to cut up the whole chickens into breasts, thighs, wings and legs and put them into separate bags before freezing. Checkout the related post below and you’ll find another post all about how to cut up a whole chicken easily.

Potatoes: Who doesn’t love potatoes? I grow a red variety and a white variety in my garden each year to enjoy in the winter. Want to grow your own potatoes? Read more about how to grow potatoes here

Garlic: In my herb garden, I grow a variety of herbs. Garlic is one of them. I dry the garlic each year, using my dehydrator. It’s so great to add homegrown herbs to meals in the winter. You can grow your own garlic, too! Read all about how to grow great garlic here.

My child absolutely loves them. They are so easy to make - they are my go-to. You can cut pieces up ahead of time and freeze them as well to make it go quicker.
