Here’s the best sea salt caramel chip chocolate cookie recipe you’ll ever taste in your life.
This sea salt caramel chip chocolate cookie recipe is one from my own recipe box. I originally received it after purchasing a plate of these cookies from a 4-H member.
At many county fairs in our area of Kansas, 4-H members are able to sell plates of their baked entries in a bake sale. Proceeds either go back to the member, the club or to the county to better the 4-H program.
So, I purchased these cookies because they were chocolate. I wasn’t sure how they would taste at all. I took the first bite and was hooked. Oh my goodness. The combination of salty and sweet of that first bite was unlike any other I’ve ever tasted.
Luckily, the recipe came with the plate and therefore, it went into my recipe box as a keeper after tasting these cookies.
After every bite of this sea salt cookies, whatever craving you have at the time will be immediately resolved. It is the perfect cookie with the perfect flavor that you won’t find anywhere else.

Ingredients for Sea Salt Caramel Chip Chocolate Cookies
– 1/2 Cup Softened Butter
– 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
– 1/2 Cup Sugar
– 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
– 2 Eggs
– 1 1/2 Cup Flour
– 1/2 Cup Cocoa
– 1/2 Teaspoon Soda
– 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
– 1 2/3 Cup Sea Salt Caramel Chips
How to Make the Cookies
First of all, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. The oven needs to be ready to go.
Next, grab a bowl and beat together butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until well blended. Add in eggs and beat well.
Then, mix dry ingredients together and slowly blend into butter mix. Stir in the sea salt chips. Use your favorite cookie scoop or two tablespoons worth of dough and place upon a prepared cookie sheet. (see below)
Then, bake 8-10 minutes until cookie sets in the oven. When they are all done, remove the cookies with a gloved hand. Enjoy!
Preparing the Pan Before Baking
You don’t want your cookies to stick to the pan, so you must prepare the pan accordingly.
Spray the pan with a non-stick cooking spray of your choice. Then, spread a sheet of parchment paper on the sheet and press firmly. Then, place the cookie dough about an inch apart – plenty of room for cookies to spread.

Special Instructions for Making These Cookies
The following are just a few simple tips and tricks to making your cookie baking session go as smoothly as possible. They will also result in the most delicious of cookies.
As I mentioned above, preheat your oven before you even get your ingredients together. You want the oven temperature to be ready to go so that the cookies will bake evenly.
Now, for some mixing tips. Use a hand mixer or KitchenAid mixer to evenly mix up all of the ingredients BEFORE adding in the special sea salt caramel chips. You want to save the best for last. Plus, you don’t want to break up the chips.
So, when you put them in last, take a spoon and carefully fold them in. You’ll be glad you did this part so the chips will stay whole.
Finally, it’s very easy to over bake these cookies. It’s super duper hard to tell if they are done just because they are going to be so soft and gooey. I recommend baking them to the 8 minute mark and then checking. If the cookies don’t look doughy on top in the middle, then they are done. They will finish setting while they cool.
