Empower Yourself With "I Am" Statements
Do you ever wish you could EMPOWER yourself to feel your self-worth?
I used to be unmotivated. I used to be self-confident. I used to be a negative Nancy.
I still have the days where I am all three of those things and more. I can be very hard on myself sometimes, especially when I don't drink enough water or when I'm tired. I can take things people say and turn those words completely against me, thus, making me feel like a failure. I know I'm not a failure, but I've made myself to feel like one all by myself in just one day.
I recently discovered "I Am" Statements.
What are "I Am" statements? I can immediately tell you they are AMAZING!
"I Am" Statements are mindset adjusters. I learned about them from a great group of friends who are passionate about self-worth and personal growth. They are your own personal statements you tell yourself out loud several times per day. Here are mine:
I am a great mom. I am a loving wife. I am fit. I am beautiful. I am a farmer. I am a follower of God.
When your mind is in the positive mindset, it will strive to accomplish the goal. But, when knocked down and out, that mindset can become a negative Nancy and sabotage the steps you need to achieve your goals.
One of my dear friends and coaches recently said, "There is power in saying the 'I Am' statements even if you don't believe them yet." She says you don't have to agree with it yet, but you do have to say it. This is because it takes quite a while to change negative mindsets and habits. The more you say your "I Am" statements to yourself and BELIEVE them, the more positive thinking you will engage.
I challenge you to identify your "I Am" statements at least four times a day. Look into a mirror and say them out loud to you and BELIEVE that you ARE that person you are seeing.
What are your "I Am" statements?
Until Next Time,
