FIRST OF ALL, ABOUT ASHLEIGH

And she always knew she wanted live in the country and have lots of animals. She realized she wanted to become a blogger after reading Ree Drummond’s first cook book. Her blog, Prairie Gal Cookin’,
- Step By Step Recipe
- Stories from the farm
- Blogging Tips
- Fun animal pieces.
Finally, Ashleigh is also a full time online college student while making time for herself and others as well.
AND A PIECE OF ADVICE FROM Ashleigh
So, if you’re torn and trying to decide if you want more Education: “Sit down and take inventory of what you love to do and what you want to do in the future. Education just might be a part of it.”
Maybe even becoming an online college student!
NEXT, LOW POINTS THROUGH THE JOURNEY
When she got out of high school, she had two options:
- Go get a job
- Or go to college
But, she didn’t know what she wanted to do and she felt helpless. Hence, a lot of prayer went into this decision.
FURTHERMORE, HOW DID SHE OVERCOME THE LOW POINT
Again, Ashleigh prayed hard through this decision. She turned it all over to HIM to help her make the decision to become an online college student.
She found her online program through Lumerit and never looked back.
THEN, ASHLEIGH DESCRIBES THE “AHA MOMENT”
Definitely the moment of prayer and the moment that she realized how she wanted to take her next step with her education and become an online college student.
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT ASHLEIGH STRUGGLES WITH?
Ashleigh biggest struggle is that she is a procrastinator! And this is why she’s starting to plan her days and weeks better by using her planner.
CONSEQUENTLY, WHAT IS ASHLEIGH MOST EXCITED ABOUT?
- First of all, her future business she’s working on! She’s starting a Virtual Assistant Business!
- She will offer a multitude of services for online businesses.
- Anywhere from social media to calendar management.
- Furthermore, she’s going to be accepting clients soon. How exciting!
SO, WHAT IS HOLDING ASHLEIGH BACK FROM REACHING HER GOALS?
Probably Fear:
- Fear of Failure
- Fear of Success
If the business is successful, what will she do after that? She has to have something that’s just out of reach to strive for.
BEST ADVICE SHE’S EVER RECEIVED
“What is I fall?” “Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?”
Because, if we don’t seize the day and take on the challenge, what opportunities would be missed?
FURTHERMORE, HER BEST PERSONAL HABIT
Ashleigh has a weekly habit: Planning! So, she maps out her entire week on Sunday evenings.
Also, devotions in the morning must happen for Ashleigh.
FAVORITE GO-TO RECIPE
Probably yummy chicken alfredo. Here’s the recipe on Prairie Gal Cookin’.
BEST APP OR RESOURCE
The heart of the farm planner! It’s amazing because it was created and designed with the rural farm woman in mind. It includes:
- Harvest Meals
- Unique Lists
- Helps keep track of things inside and outside.
Ashleigh has reviewed this planner. Here’s another episode of Rural Women Inspired that also mentioned a review for the Heart of the Farm Planner.
AND, FAVORITE PHYSICAL TOOL
First of all, the convection bake oven is awesome for baking 9 perfect loaves of bread or a triple batch of cookies.
Also, the Alta Fitbit keeps Ashleigh on track to staying active. It talks back to her! Much more high tech and cool than my Fitbit Charge HR!
FAVORITE BOOK
First of all, The original Farm Journal Country Cookbook
Then, Ree Drummond’s First Cookbook
Finally, Milk Cow Kitchen – A Farm to Table Cow Guidebook!
AND, IF ASHLEIGH WOKE UP TOMORROW, ACQUIRED 10 ACRES AND $1000, WHAT WOULD SHE DO?
First of all, she would build a chicken coop for Rhode Island Red chicks. Then, she’d buy some goats.
Then, she would have fresh milk and eggs for cooking!
IN CONCLUSION, SOME PARTING WORDS OF WISDOM
Never give up or discount any life experiences. Because everything you go through is an important part of your future.
