Romantic and Thoughtful Ideas for the Country Boy

Are you worried your country boy won’t come through with a romantic Valentine’s Day?

Romantic Valentine’s Day surprises from you might just be the ticket.

Your country boy might need help in the romance department.

Or he might need no help at all.

But, have you ever thought about doing something nice for him on Valentine’s Day?

I don’t have a man’s brain.

But, I have been thinking more about what I could do for my country boy to make it more of a romantic Valentine’s Day.

Turning the tables on him would take him by complete surprise.

It’s simple because most country boys are simple.

At least, mine is.

He would appreciate not having to take me out or trying to figure out what to get me for Valentine’s Day.

Maybe this Valentine’s Day, I could be the creative one and do something special for him.

romantic ideas

Here are some hopeless romantic ideas I came up with for my country boy:

Offer to help with a project or chore

Yes, he’s busy.

But, he would like nothing better than to spend time with me.

Even while working on an important project.

My company is what he would like most of all.

If I offered to help him, he would be tickled pink.

Bake Something Sweet

They say sweet eats are the way to a man’s heart.

It takes a lot of willpower for me to be a Suzie Homemaker and bake.

In fact, Matt spends more time in the kitchen than I do.

I prefer the barn to the kitchen any day.

So, I think a homemade sweet treat would knock his socks off.

It would surprise him for sure!

Plan a special game or movie date night at home

How could you plan a night where it was just the two of you spending quality time together?

Matt and I are more than happy with a quiet romantic evening at home.

We like to rent a movie to watch together. Or play a fun game (We have a Wii).

There’s nothing more than staying in and competing together with Mario Kart!

I won’t let him choose. I will just plan it and he will go with it.

Because a romantic evening at home is a rare and special occasion.
Romantic Ideas

What about kids?

We have a daughter and a baby on the way, so quality together time is precious.

If you feel comfortable, find someone you trust to watch the kids.

Grandma is always willing to take the kids.

Or turn it into Daddy’s Valentine’s Day surprise

It doesn’t have to be just the two of you.

And, it doesn’t have to be all night either.

It’s all about a romantic and special time with your country boy.

Because that’s what he wants. Time with you.

Always keep one thing in mind:

Every country boy is different.

My country boy loves to just hang out at home. He loves sweets.

But most of all, he just loves to spend time with me.

Maybe your man loves to socialize or do something fun.

Come up with a romantic agenda or scavenger hunt that will get him out and about.

romantic ideas

Maybe there’s something little you know he’s been wanting?

Buy it for him. He will love it. And he will love you more for just thinking of him.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be just for the ladies.

It should be about the love. It should involve thinking of one another.

Not just him thinking and doing nice things for his lady.

Let’s change up the gender roles this Valentine’s Day!

Ladies, do something romantic for your man!

Right, Kathleen! It is a nice gesture to do something for others, but especially fun to do something nice for the one you love. I hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day!

People who take the time to make something with their own hands means the most. They put love into it.

Definitely! And, making something always feels more genuine than buying something, to me.

Great ideas! I love baking things for loved ones because it's a nice treat, something that can be actually enjoyed rather than not always used, and it shows you took the time to make something special :)

Exactly, Hannah! Something handmade always shines through and is treasured just a little bit more.
