Changes: The Year of Big Opportunity

Big changes are coming in the year 2016.

Changes will be plentiful this year. I’m afraid life may be a bit overwhelming for me at times.

But, new changes equal new challenges. New opportunities gifted to me by God that only I will be privileged to overcome.

As I thought about all the events coming to the forefront through the upcoming year, it was difficult for me to summarize my top 5 goals for the year.

But, I finally thought all the different things I would be doing this year to help me grow the most as a person and as an inspiration to others. That is the ultimate quality I want to accomplish in 2016.

So, here are my top 5 goals for 2016:

First Vlog

  1. Get back on YouTube

Last Spring, I started my channel as a way to grow my platform. I recorded videos of various things I was doing on the homestead, as well as a few fitness and motivational videos.

After posting videos religiously for a couple of months, I got busy and dropped off the map.

Now, I’m going back. I feel I can reach so many more people by adding in the YouTube platform.

I currently have 42 subscribers on my channel, so my goal is to have 100 subscribers by the end of 2016.

This year will be full of great content ideas for sure.

    Big Changes

  2. Learn to Balance Motherhood to Two Little Girls

Baby girl will be arriving the end of March. I couldn’t be more excited to become a mother to two little girls.

But, I’m also anxious. Will I be able to handle my strong-willed two-year-old along with a new baby? This will be a humbling experience, for sure.

  3. Complete NEW 250 Intentional Blog Posts

My first year blogging, I wanted to complete 100 blog posts. I more than completed that task.

Now, it’s time to get serious about why I’m blogging. I want to share my story, but I want to help others. I want to be approachable.

Along with that, I will be growing my email list this year. I have started sending a weekly newsletter. It includes different events from the week as well as my posts and goals for the following week.

I’d love it if you would subscribe to my list!

If I post daily, I will more than surpass my goal of 250 blog posts. This will be an easy goal to overcome if I stick with the schedule.

    Life's Precious Lessons

  4. Start and Maintain Three Bee Hives

A new homesteading venture! I’m so nervous about becoming an apiary newby.

My bees are ordered and will be arriving around the time I’m giving birth to my new baby. I definitely do not feel ready to start beekeeping but my mentor is cool and calm.

He will help me and keep me sane through the process. After all, I told him I wanted two hives and he ordered me three!

My goals for beekeeping this year are simple. Do and learn as much as I can. Keep them alive. Retract enough honey to sweeten my family.

Stay tuned for updates and news on my new beekeeping adventure.

  5. Write five eBooks to Sell and Giveaway

I’ve always been a writer. Now, I have the opportunity to write and share my own stories.

After some research on this, I’ve learned I need to just start writing. The words will come and they will come together into a magical product.

Getting started is the key to this equation. I’ve got my initial ideas and plan to have more.

The best part it, I feel excited to accomplish one of the biggest dreams I’ve ever had for the longest time.

5 ways to stress less and enjoy the simple life

Big things are happening in 2016.

2016 will be an amazing year.

The Summer Olympic Games and a huge United State presidential election are happening this year. Our family is growing this year. I’m traveling in July to the west coast for the first time for my cousin’s wedding.

This is just a sneak peak of what will be happening for me this year. I don’t want to reveal everything, but there is so much more.

I can guarantee you one thing about 2016.

I will be a much different person at the end of the year thanks to all of the opportunities willed to me in 2016.

Here’s to an exciting year full of big changes. I’m anxious to see how different I am a year from now. Thanks to my five MAIN goals for keeping me accountable throughout the journey.

Write your 5 goals for 2016 and share with me.

Thanks, Caroline! 2016 is going to be a huge year for me. I can't share every detail right now, but I still wanted to share top 5 goals. It took me a while to narrow it down to just my top 5. My family is so important to me and our family dynamics will be changing a lot with adding in a new little one. I can't wait to share my beekeeping story with you, too! We finally figured out a place to put the hives. I have a much to learn but I think it will be awesome.
