Ingredients You’ll Need
1/2 cup softened Salted Butter
1 Large Egg
1/2 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
1/2 Quick Oats
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 Cup M&M’s
1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions to make the best soft baked monster cookie
First thing you need to do is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Use your bare hands or a hand mixer on medium speed for about 3 minutes.
Then, mix in the peanut butter, egg and vanilla. When that is mixed together, add in the baking soda and flour. Fold in the quick oats, M&M’s and chocolate chips.
The dough is now ready to be made into cookies. Roll about 2 Tablespoons of dough into balls or use a 2 Tablespoon sized cookie dough scoop to measure. Place dough on prepared baking sheet and bake for at least 9 minutes.
Special Instructions
Do not overmix the dough. The less you mix or work the dough, the softer the overall cookie.
Also, don’t over bake. Remember that this is a soft cookie and it will finish setting after you pull it out of the oven. Keep baking for one minute at a time until the center is fully finished.
Finally, if the cookie dough is soft and unmanageable to shape by hand, chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator before rolling it out. This will not dry out the dough but you can definitely cover it if you are concerned with that.
